Hospital data are collected in Austria on the basis of the Federal Act on the Quality of Health Services and the agreement pursuant to Art. 15a B-VG of the Federation und Federal States.

General information (number of beds, key performance areas, ...) is available for about 280 hospitals. About 170 hospitals publish case numbers for about 50 diagnosis and procedure information.

In this respect, the depth of information is unfortunately not comparable with Germany, although the key performance areas are described in a very differentiated manner.
